Geopend: het nieuwe detentie- en uitzetcentrum op Rotterdam Airport. Op 25 maart 2010 nog bezet en geblokkeerd, sinds half juli in gebruik genomen. De eerste verhalen komen naar buiten, over totale controle op telefoonverkeer, plotselinge deportaties, en de aanwezigheid van erg oude mensen en erg jonge kinderen. Tijdens de informatie avond zal een bezoeker meer vertellen.
Verder zal verslag worden gedaan van de lawaai demo bij detentiecentrum rotterdam van 14 november (zie www.dc-16.nl voor aankondiging)
In de planning: Op Schiphol wil justitie een nieuw justitieel complex laten bouwen door BAM.. WSD zal deze avond bespreken wat de ideeën zijn voor een nieuwe campagne daartegen. De bouw wordt met veel geheimzinnigheid en beveiliging omgeven. Inzage in plannen is een lachertje. Op de bouwlokatie, nu al omgeven door een fors hekwerk met schrikdraad, verschijnt zodra je er rondloopt meteen de marechaussee om ID bewijzen te vorderen.

INFORMATION NIGHT ABOUT NEW DETENTION CENTRES

Recently opened: the new detention- and deportation centre at Rotterdam Airport. Occupied and blocked on march 25th 2010, taken into use mid july. The first stories come out, about total control of telephone use, sudden deportations, and the presence of very old people and very young children. During the information evening a visitor will tell us about it.
A report about the noisedemo at rotterdam detentioncentre of the 14th of november (see: www.dc-16 for announcement) will be given.
Under construction: At Schiphol Airport the department of justice wants BAM to build a new judidial complex. This evening, WSD will inform us about the ideas for a new campaign against this. The construction is surrounded by a lot of secrecy and security. Inspection of the plans is a farce. As soon as you come near the construction site, already surrounded by a large partition with electric fencing, military police shows up to check your ID.
