The Anarchist Group Amsterdam is continuing with the series of collective readings and discussions at the Anarchist Library.
No prior knowledge or reading is needed to join. We’ll read a short text, zine, or pamphlet together, and we will take time to get our heads around it collectively. Afterwards, there will be space for an open discussion where everyone can share thoughts, questions, and reflections. Again, the text will be read out loud, so there is no prior knowledge or homework required.
For this iteration, we’ve planned the following sessions:
21.05: The Abolition of Work – Bob Black
28.05: The 8/12 defendants: How the french state uses anti-terrorism for repression of political movements – AGA Amsterdam
04.06: 1st of march disability day of mourning: We grieve the death and fight like hell for the living – Disability Justice Distro Amsterdam
11.06: Means and Ends (Chapter) – Zoe Baker
We will always start at 19:00 in the Infokafee Bollox (Eerste Schinkelstraat 14-16). You’re welcome to stay afterwards till late to continue discussions or simply hang out.
If there’s a zine or text you’d like to read together with others, we’re happy to provide the space. To contact us, you can come by the library (every Saturday 14-18:00) or text us at aga@agamsterdam.org.
