Movie Screening: ANTIFA | Benefit for BASC | 05.02.2026

On Thursday 05.02.2026, the Anarchist Group Amsterdam will host a screening of the German Movie “ANTIFA- Schulter an Schulter, wo der Staat versagte”. The movie will be in German with English subtitles.

This film shows Germany in the 1990s and 2000s, where in the shadow of the racist pogroms that swept across reunified Germany after 1989, an exceptionally strong anti-fascist movement emerged. Antifa worked in many fields with a level of professionalism rarely seen in other self-organised forces of modern times. From militant actions to political education and investigative work, Antifa has made it its mission to counter the rise of neo-fascism. In this movie, five activists speak publicly for the first time about their activities and, together with numerous treasures from the archives, merge into an intense cinema documentary.

The film starts at 20:00 (duration is 96 min) in the Infokafee Bollox (Eerste Schinkelstraat 14-16), the door will be open from 19:00. Everyone is free to stay till late to discuss or just hang out.
